With Sporting Chance
At beActive Life, we believe every child deserves the chance to move, play and enjoy a day full of fun in a safe and welcoming space.
Across all our parks, we create experiences where kids can thrive, families can connect and communities can grow.
Many of our guests visit us for birthdays, outings and everyday adventures. But there are children who do not often get the chance to enjoy places like ours.
By partnering with the Sporting Chance Development Foundation, we can help open the door to more children who deserve a chance to play, explore and simply be kids.
Who is the Sporting Chance Development Foundation?
For more than 30 years, the Sporting Chance Development Foundation has been changing young lives through sport. Their work supports children in under-resourced communities across South Africa, giving them the opportunity to play, learn and grow through structured, supervised programmes.
As a registered NPO, Sporting Chance introduces children to a variety of sports and activities in a fun, safe environment. Along the way, they build important life skills like teamwork, discipline, respect and resilience.
Their coaches and facilitators are there to guide and encourage each child, helping them feel supported and included.
The organisation works closely with schools, communities and local partners to reach children who may not otherwise have access to proper facilities or coaching. Through coaching sessions, holiday clinics and tournaments, Sporting Chance continues to create positive opportunities for children every day.
Most importantly, Sporting Chance gives children something to look forward to — a place where they can feel safe, active and inspired, and where the lessons they learn stay with them for life.
Why We Partnered With Sporting Chance
At beActive Life, our mission is to create spaces full of energy, movement and joy. Whether it is the excitement of be.UP Park, the adventure of Rush or the focused fun of Playstation by Rush, every one of our parks is built around memorable family experiences.
This partnership is a natural fit because it helps more children experience that same joy. We know that transport is often the biggest challenge, especially for communities with fewer resources. By working with Sporting Chance, we can help remove that barrier and make more visits possible.
Through this initiative, we can welcome Sporting Chance participants into our parks and give them days filled with fun, movement and discovery. For us, it is about more than a visit — it is about creating spaces where children feel welcome, included and free to enjoy themselves.

The Current Challenge
We want to welcome these children regularly, not just once off. The biggest challenge is getting them here safely and reliably. For many of them, transport is what stands between them and a day filled with laughter, activity and play.
The children are ready, excited and eager to come. Without transport, though, they simply cannot make the journey. That is where your support makes all the difference.
How You Can Help
When you pay, you can choose to round up your purchase to the nearest R10, or add a donation amount of your choice. No contribution is too small — every rand helps bring a child closer to a day of fun.
This donation option is available in all our parks, so no matter which beActive Life venue you visit, you can help support this initiative.
Every cent goes directly towards transport costs that help children from Sporting Chance programmes visit our parks.
